This Labor Day, we decided to do something a little different. While most of us think of the holiday as one last long weekend to soak up summer, we got curious about the people who helped make the hair industry what it is today.
And honestly, their stories are pretty incredible. From Martha Matilda Harper and Madam C.J. Walker building businesses that opened doors for women, to Marcel Grateau and Antoine de Paris changing the way we style and think about hair, so much of what we do behind the chair started with them.
